Leadership & Practical Experience
John Hazelton is a lifelong Winona resident and has served the county with 25 years of experience in the field. And that experience isn’t behind a desk or pushing paper, but in a squad car, in the community, out in the field, day in and day out.
Born and raised in Winona, John attended Winona High School and then earned his degree in law enforcement from Vermillion College in Ely, MN. He and his wife Kate are raising their 3 children here, and enjoy spending time outdoors in all seasons, hiking, biking, fishing, and of course, playing hockey.
In addition to quality family time, John is passionate about continuing eduction and building his skills so he is always sharp when needed.
